Message: <blockquote data-quote="adam71" data-source="post: 1209299" data-attributes="member: 549079"><p>I seriously doubt that.  It is totally different than the 9255.  Its a DVD player, NOT  a high end CD player.  This thing is loaded with features and is probably NOT built with absolute SQ in mind as where the 9255 is.  The lack of an internal amp is due the fact that if you're going to have DTS or Dolby Digital you would have to have an external processor and from that you would need 5 to 7 channels of amplification to run such a system and I can't see any head unit offering that many channels so they made the wise choice of keeping the internal amps out of the equation since they need alot more room for everything else that is going on inside that chassis.</p></blockquote><p></p>
