Questions...
1. If I build a server off of Windows 2003 Server, can I use WindowsXP machines as clients? Just to access a database? Either on the local network or through VPN. I don't need Windows 2003 Clients, right?
Vista and Win7 aren't choices.
2. To get into the server from alternate locations what equipment/setup is best? What advantages are realized by using VPN routers on both ends? Why not just set up a VPN client to get in while using a standard router on the network? Security isn't much of a worry, we're not dealing with anything secretive here, really.
