I'd seriously consider going active unless you are just very interested in the topic of passive design and want to devote 1000s of hours of your life to the cause I'm crazy though... Its been awhile since I've picked up the basics and I rly didn't get any formal training... just years of tinkering and talking to people that knew what they were doing and had enough time to spend with noobs – nice people… I rly don’t have much time with the business and all but ya can ask me questions if ya want and I'll at least let ya know if you are missing some huge key fact http://www.diyaudio.com/ http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/ Are some better places to find a vast wealth of information... sound.westhost.com/ has some more advanced info that’s useful -- as well as various white papers from linkwitz labs -- adire -- other mfrs... bcae1.com is a good BASIC place (very basic) and is a good place to start if you are starting from scratch...
