I do not really want to bring my home system to the dorm because i think it is to bulky. So I was thinking more along the lines of a 2.1 channel system or something along the lines of that. I am trying to stay in the range of 250$ but i will go up to 300$. I was thinking maybe something along the lines of this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882120099 or maybe http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Onkyo-HT-S3100-5-1-Dolby-EX-and-DTS-ES-Receiver-Speaker-System-HTS3100/sem/rpsm/oid/208452/catOid/-12884/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do I do like my first suggestion because it is fairly compact but it just worries me that it will not be loud enough with only 30 watts going to each speaker. I am also willing to piece one together if you guys have some better suggestions. I would like it to be able to become loud when needed. As long as it has the optical receiver so i can hook up my ps3 to it then it is fine. As for a sub i was just thinking of taking the one from my home and just hooking it up to the receiver. ehh i do not really know where i am going with this so suggestions would be greatly appreciated
