Whats up guys, I have a couple questions regarding my system. I have an 06 Civic LX with the stock HU and I have tapped a Hi-Lo into the back speaker with 4AWG power wire going into the back. I had 2 12" Infinity Reference subs powered by an Inifinity 611-A amp and that sounded pretty good but my components were too quiet. So I'm looking to upgrade those. My brother in law gave me an MTX 4 channel amp that I want to hook up to power some new door speakers. I picked these out because I trust Infinity and the RMS rating on the amp works with these speakers http://www.crutchfield.com/p_1086022SI/Infinity-Reference-6022si.html?tp=105 I'd get two pairs, for the front door and rear deck and leave the stock tweeters alone. Here's the problem.. Honda integrated the HU with the AC controls. I've read a little about the JL Audio Cleansweep and it looks appealing, from what I've read I get to keep my stock head unit but with the cleansweep I can send back 8V of power, a lot more than the stock HU could produce. I'm just unsure of how to go about this. To sum things up; 1. I have 4 AWG Wire going to the trunk 2. I can install a splitter and have 8AWG wire come out from it. (My 611-A amp doesn't require 4AWG wire) to supply power to both amps (The 4 channel MTX and the 611-A) 2. I want new door speakers 2. I want to amplify them 3. I want to keep the stock HU (JL Audio Cleansweep or the Rockford Fosgate Unit.. which ever) 4. I need some advice Also if anyone in Jax wants to help install I would much rather pay you than go to a shop, or if there are any reputable shops other than Daddyo's.. I also plan on doing the Big 3 upgrade as well and could use help on that too. (I don't trust myself with audio installs)
