[QUOTE="JeepCreepin96, post: 2131113, member: 570185"] I know that theres a lot of threads asking about which sub to get, but i would just like some input from you guys on this. I am looking to get a sub, or a set for my 96 Cherokee. However, all in all I wouldn not like to spend over $500 on my set up. I went to my local audio store and checked their stuff out, and here are some of the options that i have: 1: 2 10" type-e alpine subs, 450w amp, box, installed for ~425 2: Eclipse SW7524.4, box, Clarion 400w amp $350 installed. 3: 2 12" Orion subs (do not have a specifc model on these, black with red or white lettering i believe if that helps any) fiberglass vented box--$300 (were returned 2 days after purchase, pretty much brand new nothing wrong. I like this option but i would need a fairly expensive amp to power these, i think he said they were 2000w (could be wrong..). But he did suggest that i get a 250 or 450w amp for now, then when i get some more money i can buy a second one and have 2 amps powering them. I know it is hard to get a lot with my tight budget, but if you guys could maybe give me some pros and cons, or tell me a few things that would be great. I know that the type-e's are not too bad my friend has a set of 2 10's in his car and they are loud as hell on the inside. Also, clarion amps any good? I dont know too much about the brand.
