So I bought 2 12" RE Audio SE's and I'm running a Sundown SAE-1000D mono amp. The subs are DVC 4 Ohm subs and I have them wired down to 1 Ohm on the amp. Here is my problem. The guy that built the box built it too large. These subs require 1 cu. ft. a piece and he has about 1.5 cu. ft. in there, roughly. Now one of the subs is popping, it doesn't do it at all volumes, but only when you start to turn it up. It sounds a little bit like distortion, but you can tell the difference. My question is, when the shop puts some more wood inside of my box to fix what the other guy didn't do right, and lowers the airspace down to spec (1 cu. ft.), will that eliminate the popping in the sub? Thanks in advance for the help.
