[QUOTE="bweslake, post: 8056683, member: 652417"] Hello there! Well, lets get this started... i own a 2010 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew with the Bose Upgrade. I got injured (broke my spine @ L1, long story) so it seems ill have to be using my truck alot more (unfortunately the company provided bus to site isnt all that accomodating). And i figured since i have to drive an hour to and from site every day i might as well do it with a decent audio system! Money isn't really an issue, i mean yea i want good quality but theres that line where it just gets excessive. unfortunately i really have no experience with car audio so here goes. i just want to know what i want instead of walkng into an audio store blind. i was looking to intrude as little as possible into the available space. I'm assuming once you have the speakers you desire picked out it is easiest to custom build a box to accomodate both the speakers and the amp rather than try to find exactly what you want on the internet. i really need some advice on speaker selection. I checked alot into shallow mount subs, but are they really the best option? From my looking around I was leaning towards 2 swr-t12 alpine subs, wish i could get my hands on some stereo integrity mkIII's. I listen to a wide variety of music from rap to country and rock and roll so i guess a balance between response and kick to the low bass would be the best option. Along with the speaker selection I'd like a reccomendation on an amp. to match and again located to minimize intrusion. as for the head unit, do i really need an aftermarket to get full value out of the system? and if so the 2010 sierra has a huge integrated head unit so if someone could point me at something that leaves the dash looking clean and professional i'd be delighted. any additional comments or recommendations are definetly welcome. am i forgetting anything?
