Sub Link: Also added basic specs if even these links do not work Rockford Fosgate P2-1X12 Punch P2 12" Enclosure • Dual 2 ohm coil wired to 1-ohm. 400 watts RMS. The sub is wired to 1-ohm inside the box, so you need an amp rated at 1-ohm. The Rockford amp says 500 watts at 1-ohm, so would likely power that sub decent enough with a bit of headroom. That Alpine amp is only rated at 2-ohm, you can not run it at 1-ohm, you would have to rewire the sub to 4 ohm, but then the Alpine amp only puts out 300 watts at 4-ohm, which is not really enough for that sub, although, technically would still make bass. That is why the Alpine amp won't work with that sub. Now, if you had the same Rockford subwoofer with 4-ohm dual coil, it could have been wired to 2-ohm, and the Alpine amp would have been perfect. Either save the Alpine for a future project, but make sure you get a 2-ohm sub for it next time, or sell said Alpine and recoup a small amount of money.
