I love my 9855 but it doesn't touch the 800 in terms of quailty. FYI, the 9855 and the 9835 have the same features. Yours has no glide touch, which is a plus, and it has the V-Drive hybrid amp, which is also a plus if you don't have any outboard amps. Other than that, they have identical features. With the 800BT, you're losing time alignment and 3 way capabilities. Other than that, it has pretty comparable features to the Alpine. One thing I do miss about the Alpine is the dedicated sub control with the push of the volume knob. The Pioneer sub control is in the menu.
