First post and sorry I didn't introduce myself in the Introduction area first, but this is the reason why I came here. I need some pro advice. Here's the system in my Magnum: Pioneer Premier DEH-P6800MP w/ iPod hookup 2 Infinity Reference 3 1/2's in the dash 2 Infinity Reference 6 1/2's in the doors 2 Infinity Kappa 5 1/4's in the rear in 6x9 brackets 150 Watt P.O.S. but works good Alpine amp (4 channel) 12" Bazooka Sub (friend gave it to me cause my Rockford blew) The sub and Kappa's are powered by the amp I know the sub and amp aren't up to certain "standards", but hey it works for me and sounds pretty good. I have everything tuned perfectly except for the bass. I get more of the low end vibrating type bass than a hard punch type bass. Basically what I want is for my 6 1/2's and 5 1/4's to punch and pick that mid-range bass if that's what it is, while my sub would pick up the low end. If I turn the sub off it sounds like there's no bass at all. Can't I get the speakers to pick up some bass still even though a sub is hooked up? I know of the setting on the sub to it will send a signal to speakers too and I have that on, but I need more bass out of my speakers. I hope you can understand what I mean.
