I ran a wire fom the + side of my battery to the + part to my amp, then ran a wire from the ground of the amp, to  a screw in my trunk, then ran a wire for the remote, and then hoked up my RCA cables. I don't know what I did wrong! It worked fine for a couple of weeks than blew my alternator. I have a power cap that was given to me by a friend, but I don't know how to charge it.
