Hey guys, it's my first post here and I know little about car audio so be nice :)) Anyways, I have a 01' jeep that I'd like to improve the sound on. Nothing crazy, but I can't really crank my volume with the current setup without getting a ton of distortion. There is currently room for 4 5.25" sized speakers. I would like to install 4 speakers, add 2 tweeters, and a low-profile subwoofer. I was thinking of these products: Speakers: https://www.amazon.com/JBL-GTO529-Premium-5-25-Inch-Co-Axial/dp/B00B0S2GHG/ref=sr_1_7?s=car&ie=UTF8&qid=1527229655&sr=1-7&keywords=car+speakers&refinements=p_n_size_browse-bin%3A1293698011 Tweeters: https://www.amazon.com/JBL-GTO19T-Premium-0-75-Inch-Component/dp/B00881CT1Q/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1539374345&sr=1-4&keywords=car+tweeter Subwoofer: https://www.amazon.com/Kenwood-KSC-SW11-Compact-Enclosed-Subwoofer/dp/B00BO8O9XQ/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1532487999&sr=1-4&keywords=car+subwoofer I know I'll have to mount the tweeters somewhere on my dashboard/in my doors and the subwoofer will just go under the passengers seat/rear bench seat. My question is, what amplifer setup do I need to run these speakers? Most amps I can find are just 4 channel or 2.1 channels or 4.1 channels. Will I need a 6.1 channel amplifier for this setup?
