I tried researching my question everywhere on the internetand could not find anything. My 1993 Mitsubishi Diamante wagon has a decent sound system from the factory. Up front the doors have 5.25" single speakers with a 2" tweeters on each side of the dash top. In the back there are two more 5.25" speakers in the ceiling with one 6.125" woofer in the right, side wall trim towards the rear. It looks like there might be an amp or something under and inside of where that 6.125" speaker mounts. All of the speakers say 15Watts with a big "8" and a "4" on them. Ohms is not printed after the 8 and 4. What confuses me is with the tweeters up front and the woofer in the rear is there something in the system that sends the highs to only the tweeters and the bass to the woofer? I'm wondering if I put coaxial 5.25" speakers in will they sound messed up because they aren't getting the high range? It's hard to find single (non co-axial) 5.25" speakers and I can only find 6.5" and not 6.125" woofers. Thanks for your help!
