I feel like the sub needs more air even though it’s in the recommended air space for it because it does not hit low notes like it should. I was thinking about porting it and wanted to see if you guys had any other recommendations or where I could put the port.. I know a ported box is bigger than a sealed but ive heard of people having good luck porting their sealed box and also heard of it not turning out good. I’ve seen where people put the poly fill in there and I haven’t tried that but I will soon. If you need an idea of what the actual box looks like I’ll put a picture of it up. Also I listen to a bunch of rap so most rap has lower notes in it.
So I don’t have much knowledge on ported and sealed except ported is more for rap and a lot more boomy and sealed is for tight punchy bass. So I have a truck that has an L shaped sealed box in the back seat. I have a rocksford fosgate p3 12 inch sub in it. Thanks for yalls opinions on what I should do!
