Message: <blockquote data-quote="JPR Ram" data-source="post: 2837750" data-attributes="member: 575502">I had the excat problen on my alpine.  Your dodge most likely has a factory amp.  On the stock wire harness it'll be a solid blue wire to turn on the amp.  The alpine wire is different.  It's blue w/ white stripe.  The solid blue from the alpine powers the power antena.  So if you hooked solid blue to solid blue and blue w/ white stripe to blue w/ white stripe and your on FM/AM it'll work ok.  But whenyou switch modes to cd or the Ipod, the alpine will power down the antenna which will turn off the factory amp.So the proper wiring is blue w/ white stripe from alpine to solid blue stock wire harnes.  That's how I did my CVA-1004 and it works great.</blockquote>
