Hey there! This sucks! I have a car meet tomorrow, and my system went kapootz on me. I have 2 10' Orbis Orbs running off of a JL Audio 500/1. I was just driving, listening to my music really low, and all of a sudden the crisp clear bass turned into quiet, groggy bass. It sounds like a trumpet with a frog in it or something. Its not clear, and its not loud. I have checked the voltage, and there is 12.5v going when the car is off, which should be more then sufficient. I also checked the wiring (RCA's from the back of the deck, and the amp.) I disconnected one of the speakers, reconnected power wires... I have no idea what it is. Can anyone help? Is my amp blown? Please get back to me asap.. as its 1:30am and I need to get things fixed by the morning if I can. Thanks!
