I am 37 and have been installing car Audio for 20 years as a form of relaxation. I have done tons of customs installs dating back to the hay day of Precision Power. I currently golf more then I install , (work too). I have a 2008 g6 gt. So needless to say after taking out the Monsoon system completely from head unit to speakers I began. I started out by putting dynamat under the trunk lid, in the spare tire well and behind the carpeted sides of the trunk. Then I put Kicker 6 1/2" midbass and tweets in the front doors and rear deck. After that installed the amps. I have a Polk audio PA660 running the mids and highs and a Polk Audio PA 880 monoblock running a kicker dual voicecoil solobaric 10" L7 series in a ported box. The mids and highs are awsome. The Solobaric powered by the PA880 slams and goes Low. I would put my one 10" against any pair of 12"s. I have no rattles from the thorough use of dynamat and can easily hit 140DB+ with great sound quality and still fit two sets of golf clubs in the trunk. Remember, Its not the size of Subwoofer in the fight, Its the size of the fight in the subwoofer!!!
