I was Guard for 4 years and switched to Reserve only because my new AFSC only had positions at Duke Air Field.(Special Ops Base in Crestview, FL.) I enjoyed every minute of the guard. The benefits, deployments, and such. There are ways to receive active duty pay in the guard. just gotta know who to ask. I'm a Senior Airman and drill weekends gave me close to 285 after taxes and such. I do network switching and cryptollogic systems(2E231) but initially went in as an Information Analyst.(2R051). I enjoy every aspect of the military and travel is awesome if you can ever catch the volunteer deployments. So far i've been to Aviano Air base(Italy), Osan(Korea), Shaw(South Carolina), Eglin(Florida), Sheppard(Wichita Falls, TX), and Okinawa(Japan). Great stuff man!</p></blockquote><p></p>
