There are several box builders including fisher, ninja, and matt. Ported Enclosures tend to yeild higher SPL, but lack SQ. This varies and can have just as good of SQ as a sealed enclosure, if you have it properly built. Make sure bracing and double baffle is taken into account. Tuning frequency depends on your music tastes. Most people on the forum tunes anywhere between 28-45hz.</p><p></p><p>Headunit- depends on what you want. If you intend on using ipods, you can look into Alpine's new models, which are considered to be the best ipod-utilizing head unit as of yet. If your looking for just a basic headunit with adequate pre out voltage, look into Alpine older lines (their newer 98xx only have 2v pre out). Also a consideration is Eclipse. They are popular for their 5v+ pre out votlage and have excellent paramateric EQ, whereas the Alpine 98xx lacks those EQ. Pioneer 7800/9800 makes some really nice head units for the price as well.</p><p></p><p>As for components, can't help you out with that, as I dont know much about those. don't wanna lead you into the wrong direction.</p><p></p><p>Wire- Anything over 1500RMS i would use 1/0g. Price on these wires can be expensive depening on strand count and quality being used.
