I install everything into my car, connect the wires and turn my car on. Turn on the music and my sub wont turn on. Checked my head unit to check if the sub is on and it is. Checked the power on the amp, and the light is on. Double checked the wires to see if their all connected, and they are. Checked the ground wire at my battery to see if the fuse is fried, it isnt. Checked to see if all the wires  on my sub are correctly wired and they are. The only thing i can think of is that im sharing 12 gauge speaker wire with some really thin one, maybe 18 gauge. Im wondering if the power is just not going to the sub because of the smaller wire? Or what is the problem.
