Sup guys this is a diary of my dream install. I supposed to do create this thread a looong time ago but lazyness took place.. but anyway My dream setup was having an 18" Resonant Engineering MT and it has came true! heres the build: It all started from here, Measuring all the available trunk space: 80INCHEs gave me an awesome plan for a box that hits super low and loud. Getting the wood was a pain my car was so small me and my mom ended up getting the wood for my enclosure from lowes. She was very mad, There are minor scratches in the interior of her SUV. I made a video of the install instead of pics: http://s158.photobucket.com/albums/t84/basshead808/?action=view&current=MT18Project_0001.flv Then I had to upgrade the speakers because the bass was just drowning out everything I got the DLS Reference R6As that my buddy recommended= http://s158.photobucket.com/albums/t84/basshead808/?action=view&current=DLScomponentinstall.flv I took notice that I missed some pictures that I supposed to have featured in the video so here they are: My ports: My Iraggi 200amp High Output alternator: So basically my setup is an Alpine CDA-9851 which skips alot I had to unmount it so it is loose inside the dash otherwise it would skip every second lol. DLS 6.5 Reference R6A components running off an Orion HP-2300 amp(75watts each), Resonant engineering 18" MT subwoofer in a 11 cu.ft enclosure tuned to 33hz using 2 6" PSP aero ports running off two Orion 1200ds at 2 ohms (around 2400wattsrms of power), For the electrical im running an optima redtop under the hood, Kicker 1/0 hyper flex power wires, Big 3 using 1/0g wires, 200amp Iraggi alternator.. I went to this local soundoff just to show it off. It hit 142db (Ludacris - Blueberry yum yum) and 142.8DB (Lil Jon ft. Oobie - Nothings Free) on the new termlab. I ended up taking second place and I won this Kinetik HC-800 battery! so I got that hooked up in my car right now and my electrical system is stronger than ever, absolutely no light dimming at night when I run my high beams with my two 55w fog lights on. Heres another video of my sysetem running at full power : http://www.sharebigfile.com/file/150360/MT18-full-blast-wmv.html I will add more later when I have time but I would like to thank all of the caraudio.com friends who helped me out on making this dream come true,Thank you again 80INCHES for the awesome enclosure design, Thank you Dominick Iraggi for the H.O. alt hook up, Thank you ebay for the very affordable prices and last but not least thank you very much Jeff for the subwoofer this is so sick! it is like heaven on earth. wheee! so what do you guys think?
