[QUOTE="fantomas, post: 136456, member: 542363"] i have seperate grounds for each amp. just go from the amp - to the car chassis connected by a ring terminal. make sure to scrape all the paint away from where the terminal will be, like around the bolt. yes, the amp does specify a fuse. however, ill make up an example. say im just hooking up 2 amplifiers. one (amp A) for the front speakers and one (amp B) for the rears. they both require a 40 amp fuse and 8 gauge power cable. what i would do is this. get 4 gauge power cable from the battery to a distrobution block. 12 inches from the battery i would put in an 80 amp fuse (40 + 40 = 80). from the distro block i would run 8 gauge to each amp. about 6 inches from the distro block on each 8 gauge cable, i would put the 40 amp fuses. now assuming i mounted amp A under the passenger seat and amp B in the trunk, it would not be ideal to use a distro block for the ground. I would just ground the amp as close as possible to itself.
