About 3 months ago I put an Alpine 9813 in my Nissan truck...$400... About a month later I put in a pair of Boston Acoustic RC620's...$300... Then I removed the 2 little jump seats in the back, built 2 boxes to fit into the space and installed a pair of Boston Acoustic 6x9's...$200... Since I have never put in this good a system, I had everything installed... About $1000 invested... Just starting to look for amps and subs... About 2 weeks before Xmas everything was stolen...went to a blues bar, parked on a major street, well light...but I have to admit, I was careless...I didn't take the faceplate off...so the HU was visible... They cut up the dash...they cut around the door speakers...I think some kind of power saw...they found my boxes mounted in the jump seats, unbolted them and took those...it was like they knew what I had... The interior damage was significant... Here is the problem...since it was all aftermarket, the insurance didn't cover the audio stuff...but it did cover the damage to the interior, pretty significant... So...the moral to the story is this... Make sure your insurance covers the stuff...it will take a rider... Remove your faceplate whenever unattended... Install a burglar alarm... Now, I can't afford to replace the stuff...so my wife and kids felt sorry for me and got me Best Buy cards for Xmas...so I replaced it with cheap stuff...not the same...but it won't hurt as much if it happens again... That's my story Steve
