I thought I read that the JL Audio speakers were 2 ohms, and the manual for the HU said to use only 4-8 ohm speakers and NOT to use 1-2 ohm speakers... I found the manual for the JL Audio 300/2 amplifier, and it did not mention at all if it has build-in circuitry, but it did say that I should put a 40A fuse within 18 inches of the battery. Is it safe to assume that it does have a fuse in it? I have decided to go with a fused block and decided to go with 80 to 100A fuses (my calculations gave me a number of 79A i should protect). I do not remember what size fuse I used in my other car, that wirework has been thrown out. i knew i should have saved the wires...
