Well I got my new TC-1000s and Power Acoustik amps in this week and I just happened to have this weekend off so install time it was. Before any of you all pass judgment let me just say this was my second install Ive ever done, the other one being very basic (HU, 1 amp, 2 6x9s). The orginal plan was to have my current front and rear stage plus a new set of tweeters run off of the Power Acoustik sl4-1000 4x80w amp. And of course have my new TC-1000s run off the Power Acoustik SL-2000d. Unfortunately it didnt turn out that way, for the life of me and my wife (who was helping with the install) could not figure out the wire runs for the front door 6x8s. We could see where they passed from the door into the cabin, but in the cabin we could not pick them back up. So we said screw it, we'll leave the front and rear stage running off the HU and we have 2 Rockford 8's laying around and 2 Rockford 6 1/2s. The 6 1/2s are in my back deck running 2 ohm with my new 3/4 tweeters, the 8s are running bridged 2ohm. The new TC-1000s are running 1 ohm off the SL-2000d. Anyways pics of the trunk install. (excuse pic quality, taken with my phone) Anyways the install isnt 100% by anymeans. As you can tell I need to do some cable routing. And the inside I still have to run the cables for the Tweets and recarpet my rear deck. What yall think?
