[QUOTE="lrgnation, post: 1847217, member: 567594"] I am working on design to fit in a new mustang. I will have to build it inside the trunk. And its for 1 re audio mt10sub. I am going to start with sealing the entire trunk with line-x or similar spray in liner and also with some forms of dynamat in certain areas. Then I am going to remove the rear speakers as they will become pointless for noise. (Not sure whether to leave empty holes or seal off the trunk) I have the area of 41" wide, 11" high, 15" deep. to make a box width. so whatever size the box needs to be, it can be less than 15" deep but i would like to be that size. So I need to know what size I should have the box for an mt10. Its going to be getting about 2000watts from a kicker 06 zx2500.1 at 2ohms. I need to know the following. 1. what size should the box be for proper cubic space for that sub? (Using 3/4" mdf for the sides and doubling up the front for 1.5" 2. what size should the port be? 3. Should I vent the trunk into the car through the speaker holes? 4. I want the sub to be facing towards the seats so you see it, But i want to be able to see the entire sub so i was thinking of getting a piece of plexi glass like 8x8, 8x10 on the back so you can see the back of the sub, and then puttting in some lighting inside the box, just enough to see that mt10. ( dont say ricer) Will the plexi flex to much?? I am going to mount the amp inside the spare tire area and then have a false floor covering it with a mesh style opening for the amp, and lighting to see the amp. I will also have another amp in there for speakers not sure whetther imma get another kicker to match of use the jl audio 300/4 that i have. So basically i need to know if someone can tell me what size box to use and what size port for the mt10 i want to be at sql so i want decent sounds out of it not spl only. heres some pictures.
