[QUOTE="swimfreak26, post: 597707, member: 544365"] First, protein is not anywhere near eating 3 steaks at once. The average dose of protein in a shake is between 20 and 40 mg and 3ozs of lean beef has about 25mg, and everyone eats more than 3 ounces by a long shot. Also, there is no way you're burning 8,000 calories a day. I was a swimmer in high school, which - besides cross country sking - burns more calories than any other physical activity. Swimming burns apporx. 1100 calories per hour, slightly more if doing vigorous workout (1500), and even at 4 hours of practice a day....which is less than you more than likely, I was burning 5-6000 a day. Running and land work burns nowhere near that much, so please don't take in that much....you will gain fat. EDIT: a note on roids. They are not necessarily bad for you. I did a lot of research on them, and if you take them for a period of 3 months and then quit the bad effects do not usually occur. The thing with roids is that you will gain tremendous amounts of mass, but when you quit, you'll lose about 15 pounds of water weight from your muscles. The upside is that you will still be bulkier than when you started, just do not get sad when you drop off the roids and lose 10-15 pounds quite rapidly. This is where people run into problems because they get upset and then start right back up again which can cause some seriously bad side effects if steroids are used for prolonged periods of time.
