Alright, I dont know a whole lot about amps so be easy on me. I think I'm going to buy a MTX 1501D amp to power 2 IDMax 12's at 2ohm. This will have the amp putting out 1500W @ 14.4V (supposing my truck does that). Here are the questions: 1. By modding the amp I'm not letting out more power at the same ohmage, I am simply allowing myself to run it at a lower load so as to release more power right? 2. My alternator now is only a 60A. I KNOW i have to upgrade, but what is a safe size alternator for 1500-2000W. 3. I plan on doing the Big 3 upgrade but how necessary is it really? 4. Are capacitors worth anything and do I need one? 5. What size wire should i run from the amp to the subs? Bigger is better? Thanks in advance for all the info!
