Today was the start of my build, well i wouldn't count building my amp rack as a start but it kinda dose. Today, me and a friend of mine ripped apart my whole car. we started knowing nothing about this car, and within 2 hours, everything was out of it. Hood, Seats, kick panels, carpet, rear deck, trunk, EVERYTHING. The last thing i did today was cut out some 3/4 tall 6x9 bracket for me to use as spacers for my cutout in my rear deck. Before the spacer, the basket of the speaker was hitting the edge of the opening. With the spacer in place, the basket of the speaker is clear of everything. now i need to know how am i going to mount the spacer to the opening and then the speaker to the spacer. Maybe drill holes that lines up with the opening and then just bolt the speaker down to it? Tomorrow i will doing the first half of the day alone, and i will be laying down all wires, Power wire going back, and Ground wire going back to the front. routing all door speaker wires up and cutting out some MDF pieces for my fiberglass enclosure. then start glassing up some areas, but i really think i will need some more Resin and fiberglass. Oh yeah, today was my first day using a router and this 20 dollar bit of mine worked great until i decided to cut 3/4" MDF all in 1 run. Sad to say that i only got 2 inches before i snapped the bit. WASTE OF 20 dollar. I really think that i should of cut the MDF in a couple of passes, but i got cocky and decided to do it all in 1. What is going in the car is what all you are thinking so here is my list. Infinity Kappa 5x7 front and rear doors Infinity Kappa 6x9 rear deck (had the holes but no opening in the Rear deck, had to cut) Infinity Kappa 12" Sub Kicker IX 500.4 Kicker IX 500.1 Rockford Fosgate 1 Frad Cap Kicker PD4k wires for power Monster cable For Ground tusanami Distrubitor block for Power and Ground MTX ReQ5 Monster 6-channel RCA MOnster 16gauge speaker wires(bought 200 ft, there's going to be left overs) IF i can figure out how to post picture that doesn't show up as a link, i will start posting at the end of my day and my progress. input is welcome but if you are going to be bashing on me, ill just pee on your post.. hahaha -mrToester
