So cadence called me yesterday. About a week ago i sent in my amp to them and told them that i thought it was blown. So when they call me they tell me that the amp is perfectly fine. So i ask why would it spark everytime i try and attach the power wire to it? He sais that amps do that till something discharges or something like that. The stupid amp would overheat in less than a second and burn up and smell, WITH NOTHING ATTACHED. I have a good ground directly into the floor of my trunk. My other amp works perfectly so i call shenanigans on nothing wrong with the amp. If they send me that one back im going to be mad. What should i do? I'm confident with my connections but when i get my amp back i will recheck everything before the initial hookup, But really there had to have been something wrong with the amp in the first place.. I was shocked when he called and said it was fine. Stupid amp. Or maybe im just stupid. The old amp pulled 13.95 volts at all times. at dropped to about 13.65 when playing. I had my 4 coaxials hooked up to it at a 4 ohm load. So there wasnt a ohm problem. My power wire is 8g from my distro block to the amp, which is fine, which also goes to my other rockford amp that works perfectly. WTF is wrong with this thing?
