It's like before they were muffled.I had to razor cut the back pad of the seat where the arm rest would fold up against but it's easily fixable. Nothing super permanent was done.I would figure the less objects and materials separate the trunk from the cabin, the better the sound waves would enter the cabin and possibly reduce cancellation , etc....I've heard systems in cars where the seats fold down, exposing the trunk, and the difference is night and day compared to my car.</blockquote>
