The rated power is 75 x 4 RMS @ 4 ohms, 115 x 4 @ 2 ohms, 230 x 2 @ 4 ohms bridged. Theoretically this should mean I would be getting 75 x2 at 4, and 230 x 1 @ 2, or whatever. (I guess, hell I'm not really sure since this isn't actually a configuration that Memphis advertises / suggests.) Anyway, the power it puts out seems much more than what is rated, and it doesn't get hot. Needless to say, I cancelled my order for the sub amp and went with a MCD 1000. I am putting it in on Tues. Can't wait to see how it sounds after that. Oh yeah, comps. are a set of HSK 165s and 1 RE SE 12 sub.
I have never used Memphis amps before this one. I was using this amp to replace a JL 300/2 that has NEVER worked right since the day I bought the POS. (Been in for warranty work TWICE! 500/1 never worked the way iI expected it to either, but that is a different post.) Anyway, due to the fact that the amp I wanted for my sub was not in stock and had to be ordered, I figured, what the hell, it's temporary, I'll hook up my sub up to it as well, for the time being. Well, anyway, HOLY ****ING SHIT! To say that I was impressed with this amp would be an understatement. More like amazed.
