I'll try to keep it short, basically I picked up a girl tonight who lives about 30 mins away and we were going to drink, watch tv, and basically just chill. Told her before i picked her up that once I get drinking I'm not driving anymore and won't be able to take her home. She ended up getting disrespectful, loud, and obnoxious. Obviously at this point I should of seen the red flag. But I ignored it while she went into my bathroom and called her mom yelling about how I was an asshole - I overheard the whole thing and told her I felt it to be unnecessary. Things calmed down for a little while, and I attempted to get her to relax and try to enjoy the rest of the night like we planned. Well that didn't happen, she continued to spew disrespectful things and I tried to maintain my calm but eventually had enough and told her it was time for her to go. I felt uncomfortable with her even sleeping on my couch, and didn't trust her in my house overnight while I slept. She of course refused to leave because she had nowhere to go and her parents wouldn't pick her up (I later realize that her family was dysfunctional and she was as well, but that's really not my problem). At that point I called the non emergency number and asked for an officer escort. While I waited she called her mom again and told her what was happening. This is where the real disgust comes in, her mom told her to lie and tell the police that I threatened her. At that point I told her that I heard everything she said and it was disgusting that her mom of all people told her to lie to the police, talk about a crazy family. I wasn't going to get physical and risk being falsely accused of assaulting her if I tried to forcibly remove her from my apartment, so I kept my distance until the police came. They came and I explained the situation, including how I overheard her mom coaching her on what to tell the police (which led to her actually being honest about the situation - score 1 for me). The officer then talked to her and came back to me, trying to make me feel like the bad guy because I was putting her out on the street. I repeated that I believe she crossed the line and I was uncomfortable having her in my place of residence while I slept. He continued to try and make me feel bad and tried to say it was my responsibility to give her somewhere to stay since I picked her up. I understand where he was coming from but knew that there was no way I was going to let someone this crazy and emotionally unstable stay in my place and that I knew my rights in my place of residence. Finally, he backed down and figured out that I wasn't letting him guilt trip me into feeling bad about it. They proceeded to tell me it was okay for me to go back inside and well, here I am. I found it interesting how she demanded me to take her home after I had already began drinking and she disrespected me - no way in hell I'm going to risk killing people by driving drunk at 1 am. Some of you may think I'm a shitty guy, well cool. If you were here in the situation yourself I believe you would of acted the same way. What's worse, if it was a guy getting kicked out by a girl, I can reasonably assume the officer would of deemed it fine even though we're all equal according to the law. tl;dr brought over a crazy girl to drink with for the night and ended up having to kick her out due to her blatant disrespect and inability to handle her alcohol. I'm an idiot, yes, but maybe logically it was the better choice than risking false accusations that could jeopardize my future as a professional.
