alright well i may just use the super bass eq instead of loudness...is that ok to use? and lets see if somone understands this. I first set my gain awhile ago (2 weeks) with my loudness off, eq on flat, bass boosters on the HU/amp both off, HPF on 125hz, LPF at 100hz, and SRC-LV adjust at 0. I was shooting for 31.62 volts on the DMM b/c im running 500RMS at 2ohm....anyways when the process was done, my gain knob was set about 3/4 up (at the 0.5 marker on my alpine amp). It sounded good but i kinda had to turn my bass down some so it wouldnt drown out the music. Half way on the gain knob it says "nominal", and i was quite a bit further than that. SO...i reset my gain again doing the same process BUT this time i set the gain with my SRC-LV adjust setting at 4 (all the way up) i did this because it made my music louder (like the actual music not the bass). anyways, this time my gain knob reached the 31.6 volts right at the nominal marker, or slightly past it. Now i have a better mixture of bass/music, but i wanna be able to safely crank the bass at times, and with this new gain setting the bass was not as loud as before. So what could i do to get more bass? Should i reset the gain where i had it before? This was when i set teh gain with my SRC-LV at 0. I dont even know what this setting is...but i knda liked the way my gain was before because my bass was louder, but wasnt sure if my gain was too was too high when i set it with the SRC-LV off but then later turned that setting up. ugh its hard to explain all this but any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks
