Message: <blockquote data-quote="30hrtz" data-source="post: 6239296" data-attributes="member: 582403"><p>I had a great sounding little system for a few months.sounded great on all music and was decently loud for what it is.A 10 inch sdc2.5 and a punch amp.well i unhooked the rcas and speaker wires from the amp because i had to take out the box to haul some stuff.i unhooked the rcas because i saw someone say it wasnt good to be sending a signal into the amp without the sup hooked up to it.anyway,i put the sub box back in and hooked it back up to the speaker wires and then hooked the rca cables back to the amp.the truck was off at the time but i still heard a little thump from the sub when i plugged them in.as soon as i turned the truck on and cd on i could tell it wasnt right,no bass at low volume and just loud not clean bass at high volume. it still is fairly loud but dosent have the flex or air movement it had before.and on anything other than rap,the bass is just not good.polarity is correct from sub to amp and the rcas ar in the right input plugs. It sounds like my idea of a clipped signal at all volumes compared to the clean musical bass it had before.now it makes odd things in my truck rattle instead of making bass. any suggestions other than,(power wire is good,4ga.ground is 12 inches of 4ga. to frame. big 3 done in 4 ga. and sub polarity is correct.could the thump i heard when hooking up the rca s changed something in the deck outputs or in the amp. it just dosent sound the same at all.any suggestions would be appreciated. i will try the box in my buddies truck tomorrow,but i built it well so i dont think anything changed there.</p></blockquote><p></p>
