Hey guys. Car audio noob here and finally decided to get my feet wet. I have some some looking around and I think I have found a decent setup for my car. I am fabbing in a fiberglass sealed enclosure where my stock Cd changer was located in my 99 Audi A4. I was looking at going with a single SSA GCON 12 4Ohm and wiring it up 2Ohm to a Hifonics HFI1000.1D. GCON-12 Sound Solutions Audio 12" 750W GCON Series Subwoofer - SSA STORE Hifonics HFi1000.1D (HFi 1000D) Class D Monoblock Car Amplifier I'm sure there are much better choices for an amp but that one falls into my price range for the time being. I will most likely upgrade it in the future. I think it should power the sub properly. I'll be running 4 gauge for power and ground and will be splicing in RCA's behind the head unit as I want to try and keep my stock HU for as long as possible. I know I won't have as much tuning capabilities but for now it will do. If anyone has any input or suggestions that would be great. Thanks, Josh
