Message: <blockquote data-quote="mrwigglezdj" data-source="post: 2247878" data-attributes="member: 565211">well i dont know if anyone can help with my serious issue....well first off i have a 1980 ford econoline e100 van with 4.9l 300 straight 6 with manual steering,about 2 months ago my gear box broke and i had a buddie of mine do a quick fix since the new gear box was going to cost me 250 that i didnt have due to finals.....he took a powersteering pump/gear off of a 84 ford van and made it fit on my van it wasnt rite nor did it work rite...and it broke at nopi about 350 miles from home...i riged it up and made it home. and it finaly broke the other day, so i broke down and bought the new gear for the van (340 dollars with 75 core) and i got the gear put on today, and come to find out that the pitman arm that came off the 84 gear is bigger than the one i need for the orignal replacemnt gear....NO ONE SELLS IT ANYWHERE AROUND HERE and im ****ed majorly...the old gear with the old pitman arm is gone my buddie took it and it was his (core charge at the scrap yard)so moral of the story and thread is, if anyone knows of any junk yards around your house i am offering a reward for the missing pitman arm that i desperatly need in order to work...so if anyone can and will look or call your local yard and actualy finds a useable pitman arm for a 80 ford e100 with manual steering (4.9L) i will pay for the part and also pay for the trouble thats been gone thru inorder for me to get it in my hands asap.....if you find one and want to call me just pm me and ill give youmy phone number so we can discuss the matter to a higher level......please help</blockquote>
