Message: <blockquote data-quote="Ledoux289" data-source="post: 5249944" data-attributes="member: 604185"><p>I just pulled my door apart on my car to see what these old 6 1/2's I had put in there were.  They are Eclipse 8263's.  I couldn't find any documentation anywhere on them.  All I know is they are of course 4 ohm and they say 40rms and 80max.  Do you think I should put some power to these and see how they perform or just start over?  I'm thinking I'll get some 5x7 adapters so they sit in there correctly and put about 70 watts to the front two speakers and let the rears run off the head unit until I can pick up a nice little 4 channel amp.  If the speakers blow then I'll replace them before I pick up another amp.  Sound like an idea?</p></blockquote><p></p>
