I am at a loss on this. I bought a ported box last year from "atrend" who was supposedly authorized and supported company from Kicker. Well the box i got was junk. Its simply 2 open chambers with the ends cut out as a port, there is nothing in the chambers, just wide open space, no angles etc. I drive an 09 Ford Fusion 4dr coupe. Both back seats fold down and it has the center armrest that opens. Majority of the time i can have the armrest open as i rarely have all 3 of the kids with me. Im looking to drastically increase my SPL and bass in my setup. Ill be doing my trunk in the coming weeks with some sound dampening stuff, but still id like to increase the SPL / Bass inside the cab. I want to stay with a ported box but i am in need of a new quality one. Ive read a lot that porting the box and facing them towards the cabin can do what im looking to do, but its all based on a high quality properly built box. I have no tools and cannot do this on my own. Im looking for suggestions on a ported box rear facing, or a ported front facing. My setup is below. Head Unit - Clarion CX501 Amp - Rockford Fosgate t1500.1dbcp Cap - Rockford Fosgate 2 farad hybrid Cap Subs - 2 x Kicker 10" L7's. My rear deck does not have any speakers in it, so if i go with front facing and porting through the arm rest i need to seal off that area, but how? I live in NW Indiana and would happily deal with someone in the area who can help me customize one and build it. I of course would pay for your work. I will buy the supplies, you use your tools and know-how, or you can just do your thing and charge me whichever. Id really like to get something done within the next few weeks.
