Hi, I have a 2013 Chevy Volt and I am currently in the process of bypassing the factory Bose amp and upgrading speakers. I have another thread about that, Just looking for recommendations about speakers and crossovers here. I currently have Tymphany NE19VTS-04 tweeters installed in the pillars. The only crossover for them is the factory spec capacitor I installed with them when I put them in. My first thoughts on speakers based on other recommendations was the Silver Flute W17RC38-04 however I am not sure if that's a good option or not and they will be cutting it close with space. I know for sure speakers with a 2.75" mounting depth fit with a little room to spare but those are 2.95" So here's what I am looking for. A good clean natural sounding midbass speaker if the Silver Flute's aren't a good option, and recommendations on what kind of passive crossover to use for them. I found some cheap ones on Amazon but I am really not sure if they will be the best option for the money.
