[QUOTE="bigdub_diesel, post: 1902104, member: 564652"] my friend wanted me to install his amp and subs today. I go over to his house to find out he has a stock radio. He wants to leave it in so he can hook up his Ipod. I suggested getting a new deck with an ipod adapter, but he wanted nothing of it. So i installed what i could, but then i got to hooking up the remote wire and the rca's to the deck. This is normally the easy part, but i have never done this to a stock radio. I went and bought him a line converter so i could hook up the rcas. Now i dont know why, but i am very confused on the wire tapping. There is the wire clip or w/e it is called that hooks into the stock HU. This clip u normally pull out of the stock HU, hook a harness up to it, connect the wires, and bam u have your cd player hooked up. But since there are no loose wires, just that plugg in clip, how the hell to you connect speaker wires into the converter? Then after you do that, how to you hook it back up to the stock HU? Is there wire cutting involved? Harnesses that need to be purchased? Im confused on how to wires go from the HU to the converter, then back out to the original speakers? Seriously need some help!
