My definition of a good song is pretty much a song that is based on ONE thing, and things relating to that one thing, if you can write all those lines about one thing, and make them rhyme and actually be understandable, then id say you have some skill. Trae def has some good shit for a southern rapper, i dont mind listening to his lyrics actually, most rap now a days though is pretty much shit, yea i listen to jeezy but because i like the beat, which is the only reason i listen to rap at all. No newer rap period makes any sense to me, unless its something like afroman, luda, madvillian, common or mos def. Everything else i just listen to for the bass. Most of the stuff that i do actually "listen" to would be those guys and probably a few others, i listen to techno and alot of 80s and 90s rock/pop type shit like 38 special and whatnot. My opinion on a few rappers - Jeezy - Badass beats, but all he talks about is coke and killing ******s, and making snowmen in the winter time i guess Paul wall - badass beats as well, but says extremely dumb shit, apparently he doesnt like to let his paint jobs dry before he gets the car from the paint booth, because its always dripping, he also talks about vice grips and wood grain too much. I think he has a thing for adjustable pliers Lil wayne - Makes no sense at all, however his music is somewhat addicting, mainly like the beats. The dumb shit he says puzzles me though. Afroman - good down to earth stuff, some people should download the album (afroholic - the even better times) he has some really good shit on there like drive better drunk, ghetto memories, caddy hop, and some others. Luda - Good stuff for the most part, alot of his songs actually make sense, however the beats could be a tad better with more bass I dont have a problem with listening to rap, i NEVER pay for it though, not worth the money, bittorrent P2P FTW!
