I work as a satellite controller and make the same as the civilians that work for us. They used to make a lot more when everything was contracted out. Now the hire them on as DA civilians and they don't make nearly the same. Also think of job security. I don't have to worry about showing up to work and being told that I am no longer needed. Not sure if you have any military experience or not, but you can shut the **** up about the "not worth their pay" crap. Starting out it isn't the best, not at all. But you get out of the military what you put into it and can move up very quickly. It is definitely not welfare in uniform either.</p></blockquote><p></p>
