I just bought a 2004 Tacoma double cab. Apparently its a nightmare to find GOOD gear to put in this thing as far as stereos go. I'm coming from a 2x12" eclipse 8812s and PPI PC1800 amp that I've had forever and hasn't been powered up in 8 years, been sitting in the closet, lol. There is no way those are going to fit behind the back seat of my truck. Looks like the only real box option is from supercrew sound with a dual 8" set up. The problem I'm having is finding a good sub that will fit in the TINT 4" mounting depth. Price is really per sub would be approx. $400 each and for an 8" that should be able to buy about anything I would think. Ideas, suggestions, etc would be nice, I'm so far removed from car audio stuff these days as most of my time has been on Triumphs since 2006 ;P . I will be running the same PPI PC1800 amp as I can get that to fit. Music is 90% metal hard rock. I've put a few options up as a poll that I've found that seemed to viable options. As a side note, speaker options are slim as well, I'm torn between Helix(never heard of them) Esprit E57X front and rear or JL Audio C2-570X for the front and JL Audio TR570-CXi for the rears. There is space in the front for components but I figure I can get a better speaker quality in a coax than a component set for comparable price.
