The extremis will fit the bill just fine for that - no need for the koda 8.

How are the parameters compared to the 8 ohm version? close or have there been changes? PM me if it's not supposed to be public knowledge and you are feeling nice...

Yeah, I just worry about the mounting depth. If I can't find a way I can always use the XXX's. I just really wanted high excursion with the larger cone area. I would have gotten the extremis, but it's 8ohm. The thought of a 4ohm is pleasing, but still can't beat the 2ohm XXX6.5's, which are basically the same thing except no NEO, no Video Sheilding, little more for caraudio than home...still near the same tho. peace

As far as my knowledge goes, they should be fairly similar. (aside from the obvious difference) - their behavior in like enclosures shouldn't be too far off. I'm testing them in a fairly standard IB configuration in a active 2 and 3 way system and will be doing some RTA and overall SPL testing this weekend just to see what they can do under heavy use.
