So I just want to make a few points in favour of the sound of the Kicker L5. I just put a 12" in a 2.8 cuft box in the back of my Jeep Cherokee running off a KX600.1 amp. I suprised me with how it sounds and how loud it gets. I haven't metered it yet, but it murders the lows and gives me more range then I expected! All I read is post after post about how shitty the square kickers sound. CRAP! That is all. I have ran every atomic sub out there, pioneer, ascendant audio, alpine, rockford, RE, FI, and MTX. Let me tell you, the kicker is on par with many of these so called SQL subs. Just as loud, and just as clean. It's all in the install people. And yes, Square kickers can get loud as hell and sound pretty decent too. And square holes are just **** fun to cut out! Way easier to make a square sub fit than a round one Just my 2cents worth...take it for what is' worth.
