I got a better usps story. I shipped a pair of Mag 15's to a guy in Canada last August. Since I know things break all the time during shipping I fully insured both mags. The guy processing my order seemed very confused when I told him I wanted them shipped to Canada. I live in the middle of nowhere, and the guy working was this hick type guy with a ponytail, and tons of tatoos. Anyways, he had me fill out these two forms since there were two packages. He then goes oops, those were the wrong ones, fill out these two instead. So I said whatever and filled out the other two forms he gave me. (By the way I later found out I only needed to fill out 1 form). Anyways, I put $500 of insurance on each mag 15. After about 20 minutes we had everything done and I paid the $100+ for shipping and insurance. He then gave me a little receipt, and I walked out of there. About 3 weeks later I get a message from the canadian guy, only 1 mag showed up at his door. So I call the usps people at my post office, and they go do you have insurance on it. I said yes of course. They ask what the tracking number is. I said there are a bunch of numbers on the receipt, but I don't have a tracking number like I normally get when I ship within the country. They go well if you put insurance on it, you would have a tracking number. so I tell the lady the story, and she just goes you have to call the main usps people and talk to them about it. So I do that and sure enough they tell me to talk to my local post office. To end this story before it gets too long, I had to pay $500 out of pocket to the customer for the mag that got lost, and we never ended up finding the mag or getting compensation from usps even though my bill reflects that I paid extra for insurance. Thank you very F****** much USPS:) Never again will I use you, and I hope many of you choose not to as well.
