Message: <blockquote data-quote="Phatillusion" data-source="post: 17916" data-attributes="member: 541271"><p>I did a setup a month or so ago, and was running just over 400 watts per sub.  If you read the JL sheet, you will see a black line, which they say voids the warranty, but, they also say that mechanical failure CAN occur.  They do not recommend powering speakers into the black line, but that does not mean that you can't do it.  Will the subs last as long, of course not.  But as long as you don't abuse the subs, volume control, gains, etc., they should last a while.</p></blockquote><p></p>
