Message: <blockquote data-quote="mr4pto" data-source="post: 43282" data-attributes="member: 541855"><p>Lets just say 250W from a JL amp is not the same as 250W for an Alpine sub.  The 500/1 is designed to run 2 W3s (which are rated at 250W RMS) and if you look into the specs, the W3 is a much much bigger sub than the Type E.  I personally had Type S and maybe those could handle the power, but you'd still be pushing them very hard.  Go with JL subs and amp, good combination of SQ, SPL, and cost.</p></blockquote><p></p>
